Under typical working conditions , if the Allow automatic deletion option is enabled in the synchronization job as described in Configuring synchronization options, the job will correctly detect and delete documents and object tags from the repository that no longer exist in the source vault.
However, there are some situations when this cannot be reliably detected by the synchronization job, such as when the document or object tag:
These situations can leave documents or object tags in the repository that you might not want to remain. To clean up these deleted documents and object tags, you must occasionally validate the synchronization job.
To validate a synchronization job:
